Corona Tenacity, May 23, 2020

The 17th entry in Corona Diary, a visual journal,
a personal account of the Covid-19 Pandemic by Robin Atkins

Corona Tenacity, large picture of piece for May 23, 2020, in Corona Diary, a visual Pandemic journal by Robin Atkins, bead artist

The words on the back of this piece are from a poem I wrote
on May 23, 2020, about how the Covid-19 virus and its many
variants may be tenacious, but so also are we:

"The only way to weaken its grip is to name its power over me.
As I acknowledge truth and my own tenacity,
I'm freed to find my way through the maze of emotions."

hand-dyed felt, felted and beaded balls, crocheted flower,
bead embroidery, beaded edge, 2.5 x 3.5 inches
