The words on the back of this piece are from my diary entry written
on March 27, 2020, a few weeks after the initial shutdown in the USA:

"A dear friends suddenly stops corresponding.
I don't understand why. What is broken here?
As Corona marches through the country,
I have a strong need for reassurance that my distant friends are OK."
